Terry Crews Just Paid A Visit To Blizzard…Does This Mean Our Overwatch Dreams May Come True?

Is Terry about to step into the game?

Crews teased the world by visiting Blizzard Entertainment recently, and posting a pic of himself in front of the Overwatch sign.

“LOVED my visit with the geniuses at BLIZZARD ENTERTAINMENT today, and meeting the creators of one of my favorite games! OVERWATCH! LETS GO!” - Terry

Let's go? Fans were intrigued. Is Crews lending some weight to the rumors that he might step in to the Overwatch franchise in an upcoming installment?

The webernets are abuzz with the possibility that Crews could play the next incarnation of the legendary Doomfist, a badass with a massive, deadly gauntlet.

The Doomfist moniker has been held by three Overwatch characters, so far. Blizzard has hinted that in the future, the character may become a playable hero. If this comes to pass, the hero character will be aware of the previous incarnations, though not necessarily affiliated with them.

Doomfist, a character created by Chris Metzen, was originally intended as a smaller side-character, but fan interest in the cool concept has led to a deepening of his mythology to the point that the character may even become playable.

In the world of the game, a museum in the city of Numbani celebrates three versions of the character that have already appeared.

Overwatch was released in May, 2016 on XBox, Playstation and Windows. The game pits teams of six players against each other with characters of different qualities and powers. Upgrades tend to be cosmetic, keeping the battles on a level playing field, and the game can be played in multiple modes: tutorials, fights against the computer, fights against random players, weekly battles, and organized competitions.

Blizzard entertainment is responsible for some of the biggest video game hits of all time, including World of Warcraft, Starcraft, Diablo, and even the popular puzzle-platformer The Lost Vikings, a beloved now-cult-classic from the nineties. Blizzard is based in Irvine, California, and is now a division of Activision Blizzard.

So, what would it sound like if Terry stepped into an Overwatch role? Luckily, a loving fan has already made a video that can help us imagine exactly how that might sound.
